Welcome to the City of Colusa’s General Plan web site. This web site will be used to provide the most current information on the General Plan, highlight any scheduled meetings that affect the General Plan (i.e., GP amendments), and provide a convenient location to access the General Plan elements.

Status: The City of Colusa City Council adopted The City of Colusa Draft General Plan and certified the General Plan Update Master Environmental Impact Report (MEIR) on October 30, 2007.  .  

The City’s Housing Element, a mandatory element of the General Plan, is currently being updated by City planning staff and is anticipated to be ready for public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council in February/March 2008.  The purpose of the Housing Element update is to ensure internal consistency with the newly adopted General Plan, as required by State law, and to provide sufficient information, policies and programs in the element that will result in certification by the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).  This update will make the City more competitive when applying for State and federal grants, such as Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funds.
