MISSION STATEMENT


"Our mission as the City of Colusa is to provide and maintain a progressive, family-oriented, safe community.  This will be accomplished through positive, responsible leadership, economic and social opportunities, and planned growth for everyone, while maintaining an attractive environment."
 
 
The City of Colusa operates under a Council/Manager form of government using an elected body of five (5) members to enact laws and legislative policy.  The City Manager is an appointed professional who serves as the administrative head of the city's government, responsible for the enforcement of the laws and policies adopted by the City Council and the supervision of the city's day-to-day operations.  Council members, City Clerk, and City Treasurer are all elected for four (4) year terms.
