Commissions

The regular meetings of the Planning Commission are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at the hour of 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.  In the event that a regular meeting date falls on a recognized state or federal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next calendar day at 7:00 pm.

The Planning Commission consists of five members who serve at the pleasure of the City Council.  At least three members must be residents of the City at the time of appointment and during his/her term, and shall not be officers nor employees of the City.  Up to two members may be residents of Colusa County, but the members must reside within two miles of the boundaries of the City at the time of appointment and during his/her term, and shall not be officers nor employees of the City.

The regular meetings of the (PRT) Park, Recreation, Tree Commission are held quarterly (January, April, July and October) on the second Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.  In the event that a regular meeting date falls on a recognized state or federal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next calendar day at 6:00 pm.

The (PRT) Park, Recreation, Tree Commission shall consist of seven members, who shall serve at the pleasure of the city council. Each commissioner shall be a resident of the city or resident of Colusa County if he or she lives within two miles of the city limits at the time of and during his or her term, and shall not be an officer or employee of the city.

The regular meetings of the Heritage Preservation Commission are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the hour of 4:00 pm. at City Hall.  In the event that a regular meeting date falls on a recognized state or federal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next calendar day at 8:30 am.

The Heritage Preservation Commission consists of five members who shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council.  Heritage Preservation Commissioners shall be residents of the City or residents of Colusa County if they live within two miles of the City limits at the time of appointment and during his/her term, and shall not be officers nor employees of the City. 

The regular meetings of the Utilities Commission are held quarterly (January, April, July and October) on the first Monday at 4:00 pm.  If a regular meeting falls on a legal holiday, the meeting shall be canceled.  The City Manager shall consult with the Chair to determine if a special/additional meeting is needed, and schedule one accordingly.

The Public Utilities Commission shall be composed of five members who shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council.  The City Manager or his/her designee shall serve as advisory to the Public Utilities Commission
