CITY UTILITIES
DEPARTMENT TO BEGIN FLUSHING WATER MAINS march 15
The City of Colusa Utilities Dept. will
begin flushing water mains on March 15 and the process should take about
a month. If anyone experiences dirty water at their home or office,
then they should be able to flush their lines within a few minutes. If
dirty water persists, then call City Hall for assistance. Please note:
Flush water lines with cold water to help prevent colored water (dirty)
from getting into the water heater, which will take longer to flush out. |

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR CITY COUNCIL SEAT
The City will be accepting application letters for a vacancy on the City
Council until noon, March 31, 2010. This is an opportunity to serve your
community and help guide the City of Colusa’s future direction.

of Colusa t-ball sign ups
Colusa Parks & Community Services
Department is taking sign ups for our 2010 Mighty Mite T-Ball Season.
Girls & Boys born between 2003-2005 are eligible to play. Registration
cost is $25.00 for city residents and $33.00 for non-city residents.
Friday, February 26th is the last day to sign up. Coaches are
needed. Games will be held every Tuesday and Thursday night,
starting March 29th. Forms are available at Colusa City
Hall, 425 Webster Street, Colusa. For more information contact

Knitting Classes
City of Colusa is now offering a one-day knitting class. February 18th
from 1 to 4 pm in the City Hall Conference Room. Cost is $15.00.
Instructors Frankie Forney and Sue Nicoletti together with over 35 years
of experience have designed this class for those individuals wishing to
learn basic knitting skill or those simply wanting to brush up on old
methods. Class will include instruction on Casting On, Purl and
Garter Stitches, Along with Continental and English Methods. Materials
needed, Light or Bright Colored Yarn, and One Set of 8 inch to 10 inch

meditation classes
The City of Colusa will be offering Yoga & Meditation Classes every
Saturday morning from 10:30am to 11:45am in the City Hall Auditorium;
Starting March 6th. 4 Sessions for $45. Beginners Welcome. Come reduce
stress, sleep better, feel better about yourself and your life.
Certified Yoga Instructor Baylea Protine. Deadline to signup is February

volleyball is back!
City of Colusa Recreation Dept. will be offering Co-Ed volleyball every
Monday Night from 7 to 9 pm. Starting Jan 4th at Egling
Middle School located at 813 Webster Street in Colusa. This is a fun and
informal program; drop-ins are welcome to join at any time. Cost is
$4:00 per night. Bring your friends and coworkers and have a great time
while getting some exercise. This program is geared for Adult and

Better body fitness class
New Year: New You!
New sessions begin January 4th 2010. Class time: 8:30am to
9:45am and 4:00pm to 5:15 pm, Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Held at City
Hall Auditorium 425 Webster Street Colusa. Bring Hand weights and Mat.
Class includes: Cardio Vascular training, Resistance training, Yoga,
Plyometrics, Pilates, Body Fat Testing/Measurements, Nutritional

Low
Impact fitness class for seniors
City of Colusa is
offering a Low Impact Fitness Class for Seniors. Every Monday and
Wednesday from 10 to 10:30 am. Class will be held in the auditorium at
City Hall, 425 Webster Street, Colusa. Cost is $20.00 for a four class,
punch card. We offer a total of 8 classes a month. Registration forms
and punch cards are available at City Hall. For more information contact
